We sell A LOT of mugs!!
There is something very personal about the act of holding a cup and drinking out of it. That may be why a handmade pottery mug can be a treasured item. Many people come to us at markets to tell us how much they enjoy using the mug they purchased from us – we love getting this feedback!
Your favourite pottery mug, cup, goblet or tumbler will vary according to your beverage of choice and preferred serving size, as well as the size of your hand and how you like to hold your cup.
We create a variety of shapes, sizes and styles for you to choose from.

Mugs of various shapes and sizes

Our usual mug size ($35) is around 5″ high, but we are open to special requests.
Some prefer a larger mug, some a smaller one. Some prefer a lightweight mug while others seek a chunky feel. Some customers like mugs with a thin “lip” and others request mugs with a “belly” to keep their beverage warm longer. Handle size also matters, depending on the size of your hand and how you hold your mug.

Mugs for small hands or small portions

We started making our children’s pottery for our son. He was always delighted to find a “David-sized” cup!
These small cups (usually 3-3.5 inches high) are also ideal for those who enjoy a whimsical espresso cup or small portions of other beverages.
We usually hand paint these, but small mugs are available in any of our glazes or styles. Sizes vary, so let us know your preference!
Small tumblers & goblets

Enjoy your wine or small drink in a small tumbler cupped comfortably in your hand, or choose one of our goblets if you prefer stemware.
Tall tumblers
$39
These tall tumblers (around 6 inches high) hold approximately half a litre and can be chilled in the freezer before pouring.
Ideal for beer, according to our resident Bavarian…!
Soup mugs

These large mugs are usually around 4.5 inches high and approximately 3.5 inches wide.
We refer to these as soup mugs, as they are ideal for serving a good portion of soup – especially if you want to sip part of it.
These mugs are also popular, however, as latte cups – or for those who like a really big cup of tea or coffee!
Available in any of our designs and glazes.
