Hand Painted Pottery
We started this line for our son, David, because it was hard to find fun pottery for kids and we did not want to feed him from plastic dishes.
As with all our pottery, these pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Our hand painted animal-themed pottery quickly became one of our best selling lines. Both children and adults enjoy these whimsical dishes. We love to bring these to markets, in part because they draw smiles from everyone.
We make a variety of sizes in these pieces to suit different age groups and preferences.
For example, small bowls are great for feeding infants their first solid foods, while larger bowls are suitable for older children (or adults) to enjoy while eating soup, cereal, ice cream or snacks.
Choose from among our regular patterns or work with us to create your own. Please note that size and design varies somewhat for each piece, so let us know your preferences when you order.
Special orders can include names, birth dates or your favourite animals.
We charge an extra $5 per piece for custom designs.
Why the squirrel?
Finding these little animals in Red Rose tea packages is a fond childhood memory of mine, and one that I am sure will resonate with many Canadians of a certain age group…. we have included one of these little animals in some of the pictures of the pottery to help give a frame of reference in size – this little squirrel is approximately 1 inch tall.
